CBN to change bank notes Shared by Marcelinus Golu Isaiah Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on Wednesday said it will redesign the N200, N500, and N1,000 notes.  CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, disclosed this during a special press briefing in Abuja. He said the bank had obtained approval from President Mohammadu Buhari to redesign N200, N500, N1000 notes, adding that the new notes will come into effect by December 15. Emefiele said: “Bank charges for cash deposit are suspended with immediate effect.” He further disclosed that over 80 per cent of the total cash in circulation was outside the banking system. “N2.73 trillion out of N3.23 trn exists outside the commercial bank,” he added. He said the decision would impact the value of the naira.

As cited they issued an alert stating  “elevated risk of terror attacks” in parts of the country. It was posted in their  website, and the US embassy stated clearly that the FCT is at high risk of such attacks.  The said that government buildings, places of worship, schools and markets may be the targets of the terrorists.  However, US citizens were warned against travelling to northern states like Borno, Yobe, Adamawa, Bauchi, Gombe, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, and Zamfara. They opened fire on my car, and my wife and my kids were there. The escort car with police killed the policemen. They killed another person in the other escort car, the bus that was behind us because we were moving in a convoy. They killed seven people.  "People who did this are expecting me to come out and mention their names, so they can come out and deny it but I won't do that.
